Based in London, Alicja Patanowska is a designer and an artist, who works mainly with porcelain and glass. Urban Gardening and Waste are topics of her particular interest.

Having graduated in 2014 from the Royal College of Art, Patanowska has been

completing her projects with porcelain and glass factories in Poland and Italy, as well as in her own studio in London.

She has been awarded at British Glass Biennial 2015 and has taken part in various international exhibitions since her graduation. Her works are a part of art and design collections include Shanghai Museum of Glass.

She considers craft skills to be crucial for her artistic practice as she designs and learns through the making process. She successfully combines new technologies with the hand-made, which, together with the careful observation of the everyday life, is her ultimate inspiration for her projects.
