Growing up, I used to build toys like swords and trains with the neighborhood carpenter's leftover wood at our summer house at Buyukada, Istanbul. I created the-lamps.com in 2010 with a desire to create a brand from its logo to the product. (or zero to hero.) I love creating furniture from scratch and working with my hands. Each piece is custom designed and made unique in my garage. Thanks to my professional involvement in graphic arts in the entertainment industry and my natural born curiosity to discover, I get to travel around the world.
