Elinor Portnoy is a designer based in London. Having studied industrial design and with several products currently in the market, she is now exploring the potential of combining craft and materials with design through her studies in the RCA.

'In my practice I seek to discover a deep understanding of materials and processes to find new and exciting possibilities for making objects that offer a fresh perspective. I often use craft methods to experiment with processes and materials, and these experiments lead to observations that stir up my imagination and evoke ideas for objects that demonstrate the qualities of the material and the making. The work itself often straddles both ends of the spectrum between art and design, creating objects that are both contextual, functional, and aesthetic.
