Sarmite Polakova is a Latvian designer living and working in Amsterdam. In 2015 she graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven where she developed a special interest in material research and storytelling.

Sarmite is fascinated by the relation between the human and the world around him. She believes that we currently live in a bipolar era where mythical meets the anthropological and the mathematical - the inanimate. Through design and experimental material investigations Sarmite bridges these worlds and uses design to give a new perspective to overseen resources.
