Painting Furniture is a collaborative project by painter, Malgorzata Bany, and furniture designer, David Horan. Working with Jesmonite – a strong and durable form of plaster – they have developed a range of geometric furniture pieces which exploit the possibilities of this material. The pair aim to create furniture with simple forms and silhouettes and to embrace the use of colour in design.

Their collection includes a coffee table titled ‘Knees and Elbows’ made from three moulded Jesmonite supports and a glass top, an armchair with jesmonite planes called
‘Six Ways’, and a bench made from a painted jesmonite sheet, resting on a tube named ‘Right Balance’.
