Ghost Mirror

Ghost Mirrors are one-of-a-kind objects produced in collaboration with skilled metal artisans in Istanbul. Each mirror is shaped through a labor-intensive forging process that creates a subtle ripple along the metal surface, allowing movement and irregularity to emerge at the edges.

Situated between precision and intuition, the series explores the tension between digitally defined CAD geometries and the variability introduced through hand forging. By allowing the material to respond to heat, force, and human touch, the mirrors depart from perfect symmetry, revealing traces of making that resist full control. Ghost Mirrors positions reflection not only as a visual function, but as a record of dialogue between contemporary design tools and traditional craft practices.
