The Balat Paper Clip Collection, designed by Form&Seek for the Kadir Has University and Rezzan Has Museum Shop, draws inspiration from the everyday visual culture and urban landscape of Balat, one of Istanbul’s most iconic neighborhoods. The collection reinterprets familiar symbols of the district—including stray cats, simit, seagulls, fish, and the Galata Tower—through a playful and contemporary graphic language.
Produced as a series of collectible and functional objects, the paper clips transform ordinary office accessories into small souvenirs that capture the character, memories, and atmosphere of the city. Through vibrant colors and simplified forms, the collection invites users to carry a piece of Istanbul’s urban heritage into their daily lives.
